It is Mothering Sunday in the UK, and it happens to fall during the gradual and slow easing of England's third official lockdown. Many cannot join their mothers to celebrate the day due to local travel restrictions, cautions around the very serious risks of coronavirus, others because time has separated us, some because the virus has taken their mother from this earth.
It's a tough time, a time that is more introspective, as we look more into our hearts to find our friends and families between the video calls and the 'phone calls. The squabbles and grudges become dust. Who gets the last piece of turkey at Christmas, the one who gets the praise, feelings of being compared, or a disappointment - these disappear to the winds ...
